- Actively seek out and obtain new accounts through research of the market to identify target customers, their current product offerings, establish clear priorities and recommend the strategy necessary to obtain their business.
- Grows existing customers by obtaining new orders and scheduling promotions to increase sales through their channel sales/partners.
- Develop sales plans/strategy to acquire new customers or partners through direct sales techniques, cold calling, and business-to-business marketing visits.
- Manages independent sales representatives to best support and grow the business in their assigned area. Insure they perform in the best interest of the company and achieve desired results. Make changes, as necessary.
- Visits partners on a regular basis to maintain a strong relationship and inform them of new products and product transitions. Provides product training, as necessary.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports.
- Submits monthly sales forecast and works with management to insure good product availability.
- Stays informed as to competitive product, and reports market trends and new technologies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, making recommendations to management.
- Follow-up with both internal and external customers to ensure all sales/marketing programs are properly communicated, implemented, and fully supported in the most effective manner possible.
- Provide/prepare business plans, strategy, and sales forecasts as required.
- Working closely with technology and finance teams on the project planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time
- Monitor and review staff performance and achievement on a regular basis including, quarterly, annual appraisals and review of Key Performance Indicators
- Hold, daily, weekly meetings; discuss task delegation, review customer service performance and sales, monitor sick leave and attendance, praise, and discipline staff
- Set monthly, quarterly, and annual targets and objectives
- Continuous professional development and effective Performance Management
- Perform auditing and quality checking
- Timely Liaison with line manager re performance issues and remedial actions
- General adherence to policies and procedures
- Promote cross selling including added value services
